Level 4 Projects

In Level 4 we have been doing class decorations related to the butterfly cycle; we are also recreating the story “The Very Hungry Caterpillar”.
In our Art Corner, we have been working in our “Día de las Culturas” costumes and painting the owls to study “Respect” as the value of the month.
We also want to share some photos about “Spirit Week” and “Children´s Day which our students enjoyed very much.
En Level 4 hemos estado decorando la clase con motivos de mariposas para estudiar su ciclo. También estamos recreando la historia “The Very Hungry Caterpillar”.
En nuestro Rincón de Arte hemos estado trabajando con los disfraces del “Día de las Culturas” y pintando búhos para estudiar el respeto como valor del mes.
Queremos también compartir con ustedes algunas fotos de “Spirit Week y el “Día del Niño” ya que todos lo disfrutaron mucho.
                               

Costa Rica´s Independence – Level 2 and 3

We work together to learn about music, traditional dances and National Symbols celebrating Costa Rica´s independence.
We made our personal lantern to use in the GSD parade. The children participated with great joy and showed lots of creativity creating beautiful lanterns.

Propuesta de la patria.

Durante este mes, hemos trabajado las costumbres, bailes, música tradicional y colores patrios en conmemoración a la independencia de Costa Rica.

Confeccionamos con mucha creatividad y dedicación el farol que utilizamos en nuestro desfile de GSD.

Todos hemos disfrutado muchísimo de esta propuesta.

Space

The assembling of the rocket ship to visit Plonker was a process which made us:

  1. Plan
  2. Designs
  3. Look for materials
  4. Build
  5. Enjoy and play

This was only a part of a project called “Space”, which has given us the opportunity to investigate, travelling across the Milky Way, discovering planets and their facts.

Children have been able to develop certain skills such as teamwork, creativity, organisation and planning.

El montaje del cohete para visitar a plonker fue un proceso que nos hizo:

  1. Planear
  2. Diseñar
  3. Buscar materiales
  4. Construir
  5. Disfrutar y jugar

Esto sólo fue una parte de un proyecto llamado “Espacio”, que nos ha dado la oportunidad de investigar, viajar a través de la Vía Láctea, descubrir planetas y sus datos.

Los niños han podido trabajar habilidades como trabajo en equipo, creatividad, organización y planificación.

We´re off to see Plonker!!

During these last months, we have been working hand in hand with a little friend named Plonker; a Martian from Deimos. We have received many letters and gifts along with many messages so we can show him our beautiful world.

We have been assembling a huge rocket ship so we can go visit him using our imagination.

Farewell!!

Nos vamos a ver a Plonker!

Durante estos meses hemos estado trabajando mano a mano con nuestro pequeño amigo Plonker, un marciano de Deimos. Hemos recibido muchas cartas suyas y unos regalos con mensajes para que le enseñemos nuestro bello planeta.

Hemos construido una gran nave espacial para poder visitarlo usando nuestra imaginación.
