En Level 3 B hemos estado aprendiendo sobre las partes de nuestro cuerpo. Aparte de aprender nuevo vocabulario en inglés, reconocer las partes de su cuerpo es una habilidad importante. Ya que, al conocer su cuerpo, logran una mayor conciencia de sí mismos, de cada una de sus partes y usos.

In Level 3 B, we have been learning about the parts of our body. Aside from learning new English vocabulary, recognizing body parts is an important skill. Since, by knowing their body, they achieve a greater awareness of themselves, of each of its parts and uses.

Las niñas y los niños en este nivel han mostrado un gran interés por recortar, con esto, hemos decidido aprender sobre un artista llamado Henri Matisse, que a sus 80 años inició a crear arte y distintos murales con sus tijeras debido a una enfermedad que lo limitó a pintar.

Hemos aprendido sobre la rueda del color, sobre los patrones que utilizaba Henri para hacer sus recortes, y que existen diferentes maneras de hacer arte.

Tuvimos la visita de T. Paz (Profesora de Arte de Primaria), nos contó un cuento sobre el artista y realizamos un mural como los que hacía Matisse.

Children from Level 3A have been showing a huge interest in cutting, for this, we have decided to learn about an artist called Henri Matisse. On his 80’s began to create art and different murals with his scissors because of a health issue.

We have learned about the color wheel, the patterns he used to cut and that there are different things considered art.

We had T. Paz from the Art department, and she told us a story about the artist and we designed a mural like the ones he used to make.
