Como parte de nuestras propuestas de clase se encuentra nuestro Learning Center de Art donde los estudiantes son quienes decoran a su gusto con materiales. En esta ocasión escogieron NATURAL ART donde trabajamos con naturaleza y escogimos hojas secas pegando con goma sobre el papel craft en nuestra mesa.

Part of our class proposals is: The Art Learning Center where the students are the ones who decorate as they wish with materials, and they chose NATRUAL ART we are going to work with nature and we chose dry leaves we glued on the craft paper in our table.

Los chicos y chicas de Level 3 son los más pequeños de GSD que reciben clases de Natación. Es el primer año que experimentan ir a la piscina y todo lo que conlleva. Para ellos es toda una experiencia llena de emociones, y aunque se sienten un poco nerviosos la primera vez, pronto ganan seguridad y disfrutan muchísimo de las clases.

La natación es un deporte muy completo que les permite desarrollar muchas destrezas. Mejora la flexibilidad, coordinación, agilidad, velocidad y fuerza muscular. Saber nadar puede favorecer también la socialización, autocontrol y manejo de emociones.

Boys and girls at Level 3 are the youngest in GSD who receive swimming lessons. It is the first year that they experience going to the pool and everything that it involves. For them it is an experience full of emotions, and although they feel a bit nervous the first time, they soon gain confidence and really enjoy the classes.

Swimming is a very complete sport that allows children to develop many skills. It improves flexibility, coordination, agility, speed and muscle strength. Knowing how to swim can also promote social skills, and to control themselves and their feelings.

El arte es el vehículo más útil para la exploración, gestión y expresión de nuestras emociones. Los estudiantes de L1-2 A, disfrutaron de una actividad sensorial durante sus primeros días de clases. Días que estuvieron llenos de emociones, descubrimiento y mucha contención. Al permitirles navegar sus emociones con pintura, estamos desarrollando habilidades para toda la vida incluidas la percepción corporal, la motora fina y la interacción social asertiva.

We have very clear that art is  very helpful tool for the expression of emotions. Students form Level 1-2A enjoyed a sensory activity involving art during their first days of school. By allowing them to explore their emotions through art, we are developing abilities for the rest of their lives such as body perception, fine motor skills and social abilities.

Potenciamos las habilidades de los estudiantes de Level 1-2B a través de la pintura. También la comunicación, mejorando la motricidad fina e incentivando su curiosidad. Además, les ayuda a relajarse.

We maximize the skills of Level 1-2B students through painting. Also communication, improving fine motor skills and stimulating their curiosity. Further, it helps them relax.

Hemos trabajo durante este trimestre una propuesta de experimentos, donde hemos disfrutado, aprendido y por supuesto emocionados de saber qué ocurre en cada uno de ellos. 

En este experimento usamos:  

• Candela  
• Plato 
• Agua 

En el plato colocamos el fuego (candela encendida), luego al globo le pusimos un poquito de agua para poder inflar. La idea es pasar el globo varias veces donde está el fuego y de esta manera el globo no se revienta. 

                                 

During this quarter we have worked on a proposal for experiments, where we have enjoyed, learned and of course excited to know what happens in each one of them. 

In this experiment we use: 

• Candle 

• Plate 

• Water 

In the plate we put the fire (lit candle), then we put a little water on the balloon to be able to inflate. The idea is to pass the balloon several times where the fire is and in this way the balloon does not burst. 

Closing the school year, it is our turn to present the value of the month: Freedom. In class, we talked about how important it is to feel free of doing what we want, saying what we like or don’t like, to be free to be whatever they want to be. Also, it is important to allow children to be free, because freedom gives children independence and helps the with their self-esteem and to feel more confidence.

Here are 6 ways to use freedom in our daily lives:

• Freedom of thought and expression.
• Freedom to choose.
• Freedom to be on my own.
• Freedom to believe in myself.
• Freedom to extend a helping hand.
• Freedom to trust.

Cerrando el año escolar, nos toca a nosotros presentar el valor del mes: La libertad. En clase hablamos de lo importante que es sentirse libres de hacer lo que queremos, de decir lo que nos gusta o no nos gusta, de ser libres de ser lo que ellos quieran ser. Además, es importante permitir que los niños sean libres, porque la libertad les da independencia y les ayuda con su autoestima y a sentir más confianza.

• Libertad de escoger.
• Libertad de andar solo.
